Branding

Floristry

Fauxevermore is an Essex based florist specialising in luxury artificial flowers - For real flower rebels who dare to be different.  Owner Adeela takes the concept of working with fresh flowers, and transfers the techniques and skills to create realistic silk wedding flowers and event floristry.

The brief

When Adeela first got in touch, she had been working under her original business name Flowers Forever by Dee for 12 years. Her business concept had changed dramatically since she started and there were also two businesses that had opened locally, with people sometimes confusing her with them, albeit doing different things. With a brilliant name change and a strong, cohesive brand story, we went onto create a brand toolkit that truly represented what Fauxevermore and their core customer - someone who looks for expertise and quality, and who is open to being different.  Adeela wanted to move away from traditional wedding floristry branding that often has swirly/handwritten typefaces and pink pastel colour palettes.  Moving away from these styles would help Fauxevermore stand out in the industry.

Adeela wanted to move away from traditional floristry branding that wasn’t calligraphy based and was bright and consistent througout. She had some colour ideas, inclduing greens, earthy tones, as well as amethyst with gold hints. We used these initial ideas as starting blocks as we went onto to create Fauxevermore’s new colour pallete. We used a sans serif typeface with nods to a golden age, as our primary type, while simple more modern line illustrations were used for a more contemporary feel, linking to the theme of change around traditions and doing things differently. The simple keylines have an elegant feel
nd a softer more muted earthy colour palette nods to nature. Circular shapes are used as a theme of continuation, illustrating endless possibilities and an everlasting subject.

Keywords for this brief: rebellious, bold, confident, trustworthy and established.

“I am so grateful to have found Emma. She really is
a pleasure to work with. I went through a complete
re brand and was looking for a designer who could create a whole package. I was worried that I wouldn't find someone who would understand my vision
and that at the end of the process I wouldn't like
the final design. My worries were instantly laid
to rest once I spoke to Emma.”
